The Moroccan government announced today, Friday, the cancellation of paper visas for Israeli tourists and replacing them with their electronic counterpart.
The government said in a statement, “As of next July 10, Israelis interested in traveling to Morocco will be able to apply and upload the required documents online, and receive a response within 24-72 hours.”
She added, “The e-visa will be valid for 30 days, with the possibility of extending it for 6 months, with several restrictions.”
The stamp duty for the new visa has not yet been published and will be published soon in the government bulletin, according to the statement.
The State of Morocco intends to open an embassy in Israel in the coming days, according to what the Israeli Kan channel reported.
In October 2021, the head of the Israeli mission in Morocco, David Govrin, announced his appointment as the ambassador of the occupying state in the Moroccan capital, Rabat.
