Today, Thursday, the occupation forces arrested the guards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Ahmed Awis and Issam Najib, from their work at King Faisal Gate, one of the northern gates of the mosque.
The forces took the guards, Awis and Najeeb, to the Qishla stop after assaulting them and preventing them from doing their work.
Hours after the arrest, the occupation released the guard “Najeeb” on condition that he be kept away from Al-Aqsa Mosque for a week, and that he return to be interrogated again after the week ends.
Najeeb said that the occupation forces arrested him and interrogated him about defending his colleague Awis and trying to prevent his arrest by the occupation police.
In the same context, the occupation intelligence summoned the guard of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Arafat Najib, for investigation at the Al-Maskobiya investigation center, west of occupied Jerusalem.
