The occupation authorities closed the main streets in the occupied city of Jerusalem with the start of the biblical Yom Kippur holiday on Tuesday evening.
The occupation authorities began placing cement blocks and iron barriers in various streets of occupied Jerusalem to prevent Palestinians from moving near settlements and main streets, especially Street No. 1, which is adjacent to the west of occupied Jerusalem.
In the evening hours, the occupation police will work to open the streets in the neighborhoods of the city of Jerusalem at the end of the biblical Yom Kippur holiday on Wednesday evening, but the strict measures will continue in Jerusalem in preparation for new closures from the beginning of next week, as the occupation authorities will close the city again on the Hebrew holiday of “Sukkot” next Sunday.
