On Thursday morning, dozens of extremist settlers stormed the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, through the Mughariba Gate, under heavy protection from the Israeli occupation police, amid Jerusalemite calls for widespread participation in the Great Fajr celebration in the mosque tomorrow, Friday.
The Islamic Endowments Department in occupied Jerusalem stated that dozens of settlers had stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque since the morning, carried out provocative tours of its courtyards, and received explanations about the alleged “temple.”
She explained that the settlers performed Talmudic rituals in Al-Aqsa squares and on the eastern side of it, under heavy guard by the occupation police.
The occupation forces continue to restrict the entry of worshipers coming from Jerusalem and the occupied interior of Al-Aqsa, checked their personal identities, and detained some of them at its external gates.
Palestinian calls intensified for the necessity of daily and widespread mobilization and bonding in Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to commemorate the great dawn tomorrow, to thwart all the plans of the alleged occupation and “temple groups.”
The “Temple Groups” opened the year 2023 with a set of demands targeting Al-Aqsa Mosque, in an attempt to achieve their ambitions, as it is a strategic goal they seek to achieve under the new Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir.
