Eyewitnesses said that intelligence handed the governor of Jerusalem a decision renewing his ban on entering the West Bank until the ninth of next May.

The renewed ban on the governor from entering the West Bank is part of the restrictions and restrictions imposed on him by the occupation since he assumed the position of governor of Jerusalem in 2018.

The occupation authorities arrested the governor more than 20 times for investigation, arrest, or house arrest, under the pretext of holding Palestinian activities in the city of Jerusalem, and prevented him from communicating with political leaders and Palestinian figures and entering the West Bank.

Governor Ghaith was arrested on July 19, 2020, and was released from Ashkelon prison on August 4, 2020 after an Israeli court decided to release him on the condition that he not communicate with the Palestinian leadership.

On September 9, 2020, the Israeli intelligence service (Shin Bet) handed over a decision restricting the movement of the Governor of Jerusalem Governorate, Adnan Ghaith, and prohibiting his communication with more than 50 Palestinian figures from the leadership of the Authority, led by the President and the Prime Minister.
