Tens of thousands of Palestinians performed Friday prayers today in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the occupation’s restrictions on checkpoints spread in and around Jerusalem.

The Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem said that about 70,000 worshipers from the people of Jerusalem, the occupied interior, and those who were able to reach the mosque from the West Bank performed prayers in its courtyards and covered chapels.

The occupation forces deployed in the streets of Jerusalem and the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and were stationed at its gates. They stopped the worshipers, checked their ID cards, and prevented dozens from entering it.

During the Friday sermon, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri, confirmed that the dangers facing Al-Aqsa include incursions and threats from extremist groups supported by the occupation government.

Sheikh Ikrimah said that the Judaization plans are scheduled to be implemented through a policy step by step, stage by stage, calling on Muslims all over the world to realize the dangers facing the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Al-Aqsa preacher stressed that there is no negotiation or concession on a speck of dirt from Al-Aqsa Mosque because it is part of our faith and belief, and it is the link between two billion Muslims in the world in Palestine.

Sheikh Sabri denounced the occupation authorities’ prevention of holding a meeting for parents of students in Jerusalem, stressing the legitimate, legal and international right of Jerusalemites to apply the curricula that suit them.

The Al-Aqsa preacher denounced the occupation authorities’ attacks on Muslim cemeteries in Palestine in general, and in Jerusalem in particular, including the Maman Allah Cemetery and Bab al-Rahma.
