Jerusalemite specialists warned of the danger of what is happening in the city of Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, considering that what the occupation is practicing is a dangerous and unprecedented escalation.
In turn, the head of the Jerusalem Committee to Combat Judaization, Nasser al-Hidmi, said that the occupation is waging a comprehensive war at all levels in the Palestinian territories.
He added: “Zionist extremism and criminality is the title of the current stage after the recent Knesset elections. The conflict over Al-Aqsa Mosque is intense, and the occupation is waging a religious war against Jerusalem.”
He stated that the occupation wants to transform Al-Aqsa Mosque from a place for Muslims, into a Zionist sovereignty, in order to wreak havoc in it.
He stressed that the occupation is trying to end Jordanian custodianship over Al-Aqsa Mosque and give it sovereignty.
For his part, Jamal Amr, a specialist in Jerusalem affairs, confirmed that what is happening in Khan al-Ahmar and Jerusalem is a dangerous and unprecedented escalation.
He said that the occupation government has turned its words into dangerous actions, which will bring imminent danger, indicating that the occupation's aggression will escalate unless its plans in Khan Al-Ahmar are stopped.
He warned against the occupation overstepping Jordanian guardianship, as it confirms with its plans that sovereignty belongs only to it, adding: “Jordan no longer has any sovereignty over Al-Aqsa, and the occupation government has exposed it to the wall.”
Amr called on the authority to review itself and stop security coordination and the negotiations process.
On Monday morning, dozens of settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and desecrated it with flagrant violations.
The settlers raised the occupation flag during their storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the occupation forces, and chanted their settlement songs.
In a blatant and continuing violation, settlers performed what is called collective “epic prostration” inside the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
