Today, Wednesday, the Israeli occupation authorities extended the detention of Jerusalem teacher and teacher Hanadi Halawani.
Jerusalemite sources reported that the occupation extended the detention of Al-Marabat Halwani until next Thursday.
The occupation forces arrested Halwani, at dawn on Tuesday, after storming her house in occupied Jerusalem, destroying and vandalizing its furniture, and confiscating the phones inside it.
A few days ago, the occupation authorities handed Halwani a travel ban for a period of one month, which can be extended for 6 months, bringing the total number of years of her travel ban to 6 years.
The total period during which the occupation authorities deported Halawani from Al-Aqsa Mosque amounted to about eight years.
Halwani was known for her bond even after her deportation. She did not hesitate to pray at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the ribat in front of it, in a clear message to the occupation that deportation does not affect the mission of the Murabitat women and their attachment to Al-Aqsa.
The occupation targeted Halwani, prevented her from traveling, and cut off her health insurance, as she was an activist and associated with the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque after her deportation from it.
The occupation authorities pursue men and women stationed in Al-Aqsa Mosque by arresting and deporting them from it. Deportation decisions vary from a week to 6 months, subject to extension.
