The Israeli occupation authorities approved the deposit of two settlement plans south of occupied Jerusalem, including the Al-Thawri neighborhood, parts of the lands of the Jabal Mukaber and Sur Baher districts, and in the “Kiryat Yovel” and “Arnona” settlements, with a total of 1,200 settlement units.

The settlement plan targets the road linking Jerusalem and the Al-Thawri neighborhood and its extension towards the south, and includes the construction of 1,70 settlement units, which will combine commercial areas, employment and public buildings. 

The plan also includes 160 settlement units near the intersection of the Jerusalem-Hebron streets in the “Arnona” settlement 160, which will be built in a 30-story tower and another 10-story building.
