Starting yesterday, Monday, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency is organizing a visit for a Palestinian medical delegation from Jerusalem to the Kingdom of Morocco.
A statement by the agency stated that this visit falls within the framework of its work program for social support, which it is implementing on instructions from King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Jerusalem Committee, for the benefit of a number of sectors in Jerusalem.
The delegation of Palestinian hospital institutions - according to the same source - includes: Fadi Al-Atrash, Director of Al-Mutalaa Hospital (Augusta Victoria), Secretary General of the East Jerusalem Hospital Network, Adnan Farhoud, Director of Al-Maqasid Hospital, and Maher Deeb, Medical Director of Saint Joseph Hospital (French). And Muhammad Jadallah, representative of the Arab Health Center and Al-Aqsa Al-Sharif Clinics.
The delegation also includes field and medical personnel, in addition to professors of doctors specializing in emergency and emergency medicine, to present the Palestinian experience in this field, in a specialized scientific workshop that brings them together with their Moroccan colleagues, at the National School of Public Health in Rabat, on Thursday, February 23rd. On the topic of “Dealing with Emergencies and Urgent Situations in the Inspiring Palestinian Experience.”
The statement indicated that the agency, with the support and coordination of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Morocco, programmed visits to a number of major hospital institutions, medical and pharmacy colleges, in both Rabat and Casablanca, and national reference laboratories, in order to become closely acquainted with the hospital and educational environment in the country. Today, Tuesday, the agency’s headquarters will also host a working session with the Palestinian delegation, to which a number of interested and specialized experts in the health sector in Morocco were invited, as well as a representative of the World Health Organization, to learn about the health sector institutions in Jerusalem, before signing a cooperation protocol between the agency and a hospital network. East Jerusalem, and Al-Makassed Charitable Society Hospital, to establish a coordination and vigilance cell for emergency cases in Jerusalem.
The statement concluded that the Palestinian delegation will visit “the military medical services and the Mohammed V Study Hospital in Rabat, to learn about the experience of the field hospitals that Morocco has run, on more than one occasion, to help the victims of the aggression on the Gaza Strip. The delegation will also meet with officials in the health sector in Morocco.” And with the National Doctors Authority, and with the heads of a number of active bodies and associations in the health sector.”
