On the morning of the 88th day of his hunger strike in the Israeli occupation prisons, it was officially announced that Sheikh Khader Adnan had been martyred.
The Prisoners' Media Office, the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, and the martyr's family officially announced his death in separate statements at dawn on Monday, while anger spread among the prisoners in the occupation's prisons and various Palestinian cities.
The Islamic Jihad movement called in a statement for a general strike in the West Bank, Gaza and Jenin, while the leader of the Hamas movement held the occupation fully responsible, saying: “This crime will not pass without accountability from the Palestinian resistance factions.”
Sheikh Khader Adnan, a prominent leader in the ranks of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, is an activist in the prisoners’ cause.
The Israeli occupation forces arrested Sheikh Khader Adnan on 2/5/2023, and brought several “charges” against him related to resisting the Israeli occupation, which the Sheikh rejected and began his strike, which ended with his martyrdom.
