On Wednesday, the Israeli occupation authorities refused to release the sick prisoner, Walid Daqqa, despite the seriousness of his health condition and its deterioration in recent days.

The occupation's early release committee rejected a decision to release the sick prisoner, Walid Daqqa, and said that the case was not within its jurisdiction and would transfer it to a higher committee.

Daqqa suffers from two serious health problems, the first being bone marrow cancer, and the second regarding the recent development that occurred in his health, which led to the removal of two-thirds of his right lung, in addition to the fact that his left lung is still suffering from infection.

The prisoner, Daqqa, has entered his 38th year in the occupation prisons, and is facing a serious health condition, as a result of his recent illness from serious health symptoms, in addition to his suffering from a type of cancer that affects the bone marrow, known as “myelofibrosis.”
