Jerusalemite stationer Hanadi Al-Halawani returned, this Saturday morning, to the courtyards of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, after the expiration of the deportation period imposed on her by the occupation authorities.

Amidst great joy, Al-Halawani returned to Rabat in Al-Aqsa Mosque, after a deportation that lasted six months, during which she was stationed in the vicinity of the mosque, and at the closest point that the occupation allowed access to.

The occupation authorities are targeting the Al-Murabiteen and Al-Murabiteen with deportation decisions, in an attempt to facilitate settlers’ incursions and to obstruct the Jerusalemites’ response to the Judaization plans against Al-Aqsa.

The Palestinian Information Center “Maati” monitored four cases of deportation from Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque last month, while the occupation forces escalated their arrests of Jerusalemites, targeting 90 citizens during May 2023.

The occupation began its policy of deportation from Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa since the 1970s, and targeted scholars, political and influential figures, and actors towards Al-Aqsa, to monopolize it and implement racist Judaization plans.

Deportation varies in duration and type. Some are prevented from reaching Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, others are denied entry to the Old City, and some are deported to the West Bank or Gaza Strip.
