Perhaps what distinguished the last battle of “Bas Jenin”, and the most prominent feature during it, was the unity of the Palestinian field ranks, which constitutes an extension of the state of popular resistance in the camp since 2002.

While the fighters in the camp were shoulder to shoulder, regardless of their political affiliations, the Palestinian Authority and its security bodies were standing by and watching, despite the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades engaging with all their capabilities and youth in this battle.

This scene puts us before an important fact to which more time, space, engagement and positive investment must be devoted. This fact is summed up in the separation between the fighters of the Fatah movement and the approach of the authority that robs Fatah of its people.

These fighters from the Lions’ Den and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades embody the true spirit of the Fatah movement, which leaders such as Abu Al-Hassan Qassem, Saad Jaradat, Marwan Zaloum, Masirah Abu Hamdiyeh, Youssef Rayhan, and other martyrs rose to the occasion.
