On Wednesday morning, 8/23/2023, with only a few days remaining until the start of the new academic year, 23/24, the Al-Iman Schools Parents Union issued a statement in which it announced that a group of Jerusalem schools reject the distorted Palestinian curriculum imposed by the occupation municipality.

According to the statement, these schools are: Al-Iman, Al-Ibrahimiya, Dar Al-Hikmah, and Al-Furqan.

The schools announced in the statement their intention to take escalatory steps if the occupation municipality tries to impose the distorted Palestinian curriculum on them.

In the same context, it was announced that the monitoring and analysis of the distortions made by the occupation municipality in the Palestinian curriculum had been completed, which the occupation municipality seeks to collect in one textbook and impose on Palestinian schools in occupied Jerusalem.

These distortions will be published publicly so that the families of the Jerusalemite students will be aware of the seriousness of what is being fabricated against them.

In the end, it seems that the chapters of the battle to defend independent Palestinian education in Jerusalem began early in the direction of the Israelization policies pursued by the occupation municipality and its use as weapons of licensing and funding.

The schools stressed the importance of steadfastness in the battle and the necessity of continuing to assert our right to a true curriculum with a Palestinian-Arab-Islamic dimension to support the education sector in Jerusalem.
