September 19, 2016 was not an ordinary day in the life of the young Jerusalemite man, Ayman al-Kurd. With the escalation of attacks by the occupation and its settlers in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, al-Kurd headed to the Bab al-Sahira area in the center of occupied Jerusalem and attempted to carry out a stabbing attack there. He was able to stab a Zionist policeman and a policewoman. But the occupation soldiers shot him with dozens of bullets, which led to his paralysis and many health problems.

After several rounds of interrogation and torture by the occupation intelligence, he was tried and sentenced to 35 years in prison and a fine of 330,000 shekels. He suffers from deliberate medical negligence from the occupation prison administration.
