Hundreds of settlers stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, guarded by the Israeli occupation forces, coinciding with the approaching date of what is known as “Yom Kippur.”
Since dawn, the occupation forces began obstructing worshipers from reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque, while preventing a number of school students inside the mosque’s walls from reaching it.
The raids began at seven o'clock and continued until two-thirty in the afternoon.
Former occupation Knesset member Yehuda Glick participated in the raids and provided “biblical” explanations to the attackers of Al-Aqsa, and a settler performed “epic prostration” in the vicinity of Bab al-Silsilah.
The settlers continued to perform “biblical” and provocative rituals near the mosque, and dozens of them performed the “Mosav” prayer associated with what is known as the “Days of Repentance” in the vicinity of the Lions’ Gate.
According to what was reported by the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem, the number of those who stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque today reached 673 settlers.
