On this day when millions of children around the world head to school, as the so-called “civilized world” celebrates them, hundreds of thousands of Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip continue, for the 45th consecutive day, to suffer as a result of the most brutal and criminal aggression, perhaps in more than a century.

The Palestinian Ministry of Education announced that about 5,000 children, including more than 3,000 school students, have died since the beginning of the “Israeli” aggression on the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Education added in a press statement today, Monday, on the International Children's Day, that the scenes of killing children and school students in the Gaza Strip exceeded all humanitarian and international norms and covenants.
