The freed prisoner Wafaa Jarrar (Umm Hudhayfah) died this morning in Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin, due to health complications resulting from the amputation of her leg by the occupation a few weeks ago.
The Israeli occupation forces arrested Wafaa Jarrar on 6/21/2024 during their invasion of Jenin and its camp, and during violent clashes with Palestinian resistance fighters. The occupation used Umm Hudhayfah as a human shield, which caused her to sustain a serious injury that resulted in the amputation of her feet.
Umm Hudhayfah suffered from poor health conditions during her detention, which lasted for about 9 days, and she was handed over to the Palestinian side while suffering from poor health conditions.
Umm Hudhayfah Jarar was one of the women active in resisting the occupation in the West Bank. Her husband and son spent several years in the occupation’s prisons. Following her martyrdom today, the occupation re-arrested her husband today.
