The Palestinian Prisoners' Club reported that today, Tuesday, a new session will be held for the Jerusalemite prisoner, Ahmed Manasra, to consider the request for his release submitted by the defense team, as a result of the serious health and psychological deterioration that he has suffered.

The Prisoner's Club explained in a brief statement that the session will be held today at one-thirty at Ayalon Ramla Prison.

Earlier, lawyer Khaled Zabarqa from the defense team of the prisoner “Manasra” said that “the session was appointed based on the urgent request submitted by the defense team requesting his immediate release, in light of his transfer to “Ramla” prison as a result of the seriousness of his health and psychological condition.” .

The occupation's special release committee decided, a week ago, to classify the file of Jerusalem prisoner Ahmed Manasra as a “terrorist act” according to the definition of the Israeli anti-terrorism law.

“Manasra” faces difficult and dangerous health and psychological conditions in solitary confinement in “Eshel” prison in Beersheba.

The prisoner Al-Maqdisi was arrested on the pretext of carrying out a stabbing attack in the “Pisgat Zeev” settlement in 2015 with his cousin, the martyr Hassan Manasra, and he was sentenced to 12 years in prison at that time, which was later commuted to nine and a half years in 2017.

The prisoner Manasra is a resident of the town of Beit Hanina, north of occupied Jerusalem. When he was arrested, he was a student at the New Generation School in Jerusalem, and he was 13 years old at the time.
