Activists and Jerusalemites called, today, Monday, to continue the mobilization and travel to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, in light of the threats of the occupation leaders and the escalating plans of settlers in the occupied city of Jerusalem.

Jerusalemite researcher and activist Fakhri Abu Diab said, “The occupation is trying to impose Judaizing facts on Al-Aqsa,” pointing out that the so-called “Temple groups” are exploiting Jewish holidays to try to Judaize the mosque.”

Abu Diab stressed that the occupation is trying to exploit the religious and political dimension to change the reality in Al-Aqsa Mosque, calling for a permanent tour of duty in Al-Aqsa, to thwart the occupation’s plans.

He warned of ongoing settlement plans to bring sacrifices into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, saying: “Settlement groups will try to bring sacrifices in addition to performing Talmudic rituals in the mosque.”

Earlier, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri, described the statements of the head of the extremist “Jewish Power” party, Itamar Ben Gvir, regarding settlers praying in Al-Aqsa Mosque, as “racist and unacceptable.”

Sabri held the occupation government fully responsible for Ben Gvir’s threats, stressing that the Palestinian people will not allow him or anyone else to touch the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

He pointed out that the seriousness of Ben Gvir’s threats increases the tension in the general situation in Al-Aqsa, and the clash with the Muslim worshipers in the mosque, calling on the people of Jerusalem to be vigilant and pay attention to the provocative attempts of the settlers.

The extremist Ben Gvir, who is appointed as the Ministry of Internal Security in the occupation, pledged to work to change the current situation regarding settlers’ prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque, strengthening settlement outposts in the West Bank, and changing the open-fire instructions regarding the Palestinians.

This morning, dozens of settlers stormed the courtyards of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under heavy protection from the occupation forces, and performed Talmudic rituals at the doors of the mosque and walked in reverse.

The alleged “Temple groups” are planning massive incursions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, during the so-called Jewish “Hanukkah” holiday, which begins on the 18th of next month.
