The lenses of a number of Jerusalemites documented a sign placed by the occupation municipality in Jerusalem, indicating the extent of the disdain for Jerusalemites and attempts to erase their identity.


The signboard points the way to the headquarters of the Hebrew University, with the Hebrew pronunciation, despite the gross error: “Haqareet” instead of “Haafret.”


The occupation does not stop belittling our language and culture, and at the same time it seeks to bring us to masses who read with Arabic letters and understand with Hebrew minds...

The occupation's disdain for us comes after it came close to destroying education in Jerusalem and decided the battle there, in light of the absence of any Palestinian project to confront it.
