Last Tuesday, the Israeli occupation court in Jerusalem issued an unjust ruling against Jerusalemite prisoner Rashid Al-Rishq (22 years old) from the Old City.

The Beit Al-Maqdis News correspondent reported that the occupation court sentenced the prisoner Al-Rishq to actual imprisonment for a period of 13 years and 10 months.

The occupation forces arrested Al-Rishq in mid-April 2022, and charged him with charges related to his presence in Al-Aqsa Mosque and planning to carry out operations against the occupation in Jerusalem. They also convicted him of planning, with a Jerusalemite cell, to assassinate the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir.

Al-Rishq has suffered from persecution by the occupation since he was 14 years old, as the occupation arrested him about 6 times for a total of more than 6 years.

The occupation expelled Al-Rashq from his place of residence in the Old City of Jerusalem, and he missed out on school and university education
