Nervous moments were witnessed at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque today, Tuesday, after thousands of settlers stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and desecrated it with biblical rituals and provocative dances.

The settlers' storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque began at eight o'clock in the morning after the occupation authorities opened the Mughrabi Gate to the intruders. During the first three hours, 1,700 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Many figures in the occupation government and the Knesset participated in storming Al-Aqsa Mosque today, including Itamar Ben Gvir, the occupation’s Minister of Internal Security, Yitzhak Wasserlauf, the Minister of the Negev and Galilee in the occupation government, and Amit Halevy, a member of the Likud party in the occupation’s Knesset.

Dozens of settlers who stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque today performed many biblical rituals during which they desecrated Al-Aqsa, such as the “epic prostration” and reciting parts of the “Torah”. They raised Zionist flags and chanted the “Hatikvah” anthem, mixing “national” and religious rituals with the desecration of Al-Aqsa.

Simultaneously with the settlers storming Al-Aqsa Mosque, the occupation forces imposed a cordon around Al-Aqsa Mosque and prevented Palestinians from reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque. The occupation forces assaulted a number of male and female worshippers who were present around Bab al-Hatta (one of the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque). The worshipper Nafisa Khweis said in a special interview with the Beit Al-Maqdis Agency, describing the occupation forces’ assault on her: “They kept hitting me on my head and neck until they reached Bab al-Asbat. When the soldier told me: Go home, I replied: Al-Aqsa is my home.”

As for the guard, Muhammad Abu Al-Hummus, he said in a special interview with the Beit Al-Maqdis Agency: “Al-Aqsa Mosque has been suffering from a complete siege since yesterday, and today we were prevented from reaching Al-Aqsa, to facilitate the settlers’ storming of Al-Aqsa. This was a sad day for Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
