The Israeli occupation authorities have unveiled a new settlement plan that aims to annex the occupied West Bank, outside the so-called “Deal of the Century,” and includes the establishment of 4 “new cities,” including a Druze city, and the abolition of the Palestinian Authority as a political entity, while local entities remain under the control of the occupation.

In detail, “Israeli” parties are pushing a new plan aimed at annexing the West Bank to “Israel,” and the so-called Settlements Council and Knesset member Avichai Boaron, from the Likud Party, are the ones who developed the plan and discussed its implementation during the term of US President Donald Trump.

The plan includes the establishment of four new cities, “including a Druze city,” with the aim of transferring residents from within the occupied Palestinian territories of 1948 to the West Bank, in addition to transportation and energy infrastructure, transforming Palestinian cities into regional authorities responsible for themselves and under Israeli control, and abolishing the Palestinian Authority.

The settlement council and Knesset member, “Boron,” claim that this plan is feasible and not theoretical, and that there is a “window of opportunity” to implement it during the term of the next US President, Donald Trump.

Last week, a meeting was held at the Ramada Hotel in occupied Jerusalem, attended by settler leaders and heads of regional councils of settlements, at the initiative of Boaron, during which the plan was formulated.

The plan is based on “abolishing the Palestinian Authority and returning to the pre-Oslo Accords era,” through several steps; the first of which is expanding the control of the heads of the local settlement authorities so that they are responsible for the areas of influence of all the regional councils and the areas between them.

The second step: controlling the Palestinian villages in Area C, withdrawing the Palestinian administration from them, and annexing them so that they become part of what is called “Israeli lands.” “After the Palestinian Authority is abolished, Arab local authorities will be formed, transforming Israel into a federal government.”

According to Bouaron, he believes that “the Arab population in the West Bank will be concentrated in several local authorities that will manage themselves, receive services from Israel and pay for them, and the status of the residents will be exactly like the status of the Arabs of Jerusalem, the status of a resident.”

He pointed out that “the national orientation of the population in the West Bank (according to the settlement plan) will be as it was before 1967 under Jordanian rule.”

He added: "The idea of a two-state solution should be removed from the agenda forever, under clear guidance from the political level."

The new annexation plan is based on transforming the West Bank into an “electricity generating station for Israel,” by investing in infrastructure and establishing electricity generating stations throughout the West Bank, in conjunction with investing in the northern Jordan Valley.

"Boaron" called for imposing Israeli law, bringing ministries into the West Bank, building infrastructure for energy, gas and transportation, establishing industrial and commercial zones, and controlling the open area and turning it into an "Israeli-administered area."

According to the plan, the establishment of hundreds of settlement farms in Area C will be encouraged, “in order to guard state lands and create a legal structure for controlling them,” and there will be “a maximum amount of land and a minimum amount of people.”

“We have to reach a point where the Americans do not continue from where they left off in the Deal of the Century plan, which put the settlements in suffocating rings, and means the loss of effective Israeli control in the West Bank,” Boaron added.
