Today, Tuesday, the Central Court of the occupation in Jerusalem issued a 24-year prison sentence against the young man from Jerusalem, Basil Ayed Jamil Obeidiya (18 years old), in addition to imposing a fine of 125,000 shekels as compensation to the settlers.

Occupation forces arrested Obeidiyeh, a resident of Jabal al-Mukaber, south of Jerusalem, in September 2023, when he was a minor, on the grounds that he carried out a stabbing attack near the Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem's Old City.

In a separate development, the occupation authorities yesterday released Jerusalemite prisoner Hassanein Rammaneh from the town of Anata, northeast of Jerusalem, after he had spent 18 months in Israeli prisons.
