Hilal Al-Quds strengthened its lead in the Palestinian Professional League, after defeating its guest Shabab Al-Samu (2/0), today, Tuesday, in the framework of the 11th and final round of the first leg.

Al-Hilal's top scorer and league scorer, Mohammed Maraaba, scored two goals, raising his tally at the top to 12 goals.

With this victory, Hilal Al-Quds raised its score to 28 points, while Al-Samou’s score stopped at 8 points in eighth place.

Hilal Al-Quds dominated the match with the start of the whistle, and the team focused on Mohamed Farag’s runs from the right, where he provided striker Mohamed Marabaa with many crosses, and the latter came close to goalkeeper Shabir’s goal more than once, and the left post blocked a sure opportunity.

On the other hand, Al-Samou did not take advantage of a golden opportunity to score the first goal, when Mohammed Abu Hamed passed the ball to his teammate Wael Awawdeh, which beat the defense and he was alone with goalkeeper Ramzi Al-Fakhouri, but he did not take advantage of it, so the first half ended in a goalless draw.

In the second half, Al Hilal made many substitutions, including bringing on Mohammed Obaid, and after that, Al Hilal had many opportunities until Mohammed Maraaba succeeded in scoring the first goal by following up on Obaid’s corner kick.

Al-Hilal continued to excel and want to add more goals, with Al-Samou’s clear decline. Substitute Mohammed Sandouk succeeded in extracting the ball from Al-Samou’s defender and sent it to Maraaba, who dribbled past one of the defenders and was alone and shot powerfully to the left of Shabir, ending the match (2/0) for Hilal Al-Quds.
