Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency and the Moroccan Association signed a partnership agreement to support reconstruction in Palestine, and to finance building and real estate restoration projects in the occupied city of Jerusalem.

This came during a meeting organized by the agency in Rabat entitled “Challenges and Challenges of the Construction Sector in Jerusalem,” attended by Moroccan figures from the political, social and civil spectrum.

The director in charge of running the agency and the Palestinian ambassador to Rabat, Muhammad Al-Sharqawi, explained that this institution affiliated with the Al-Quds Committee, headed by Moroccan King Mohammed VI, gives the reconstruction and restoration sector the importance it deserves in the list of priorities, within the vital social sectors.

He pointed out that the agency, since its establishment, has made investments in several projects of interest to this sector, with a financial envelope of more than 25 million US dollars, distributed among projects for the restoration of archaeological buildings, the reconstruction of old houses, and the financing of restoration projects.

He said: “The state of reconstruction in Jerusalem and its environs calls on us to do what we can to help our Palestinian brothers protect their lands and property, acquire their properties, and maintain and preserve their homes.”
