On Monday, the occupation municipality forced a young Jerusalemite to demolish his house, which was under construction, in the town of Al-Issawiya in Jerusalem, under the pretext of building without a permit.

The young man, Thaer Obaid, was forced to demolish his house in Al-Issawiya with his own hands, after a final decision from the municipality, in order to avoid paying financial fines “as a demolition fee for the municipality crews and the forces accompanying them.”

The building area is about 100 square meters, and since last April, “with the beginning of construction,” attempts have been made to license it and prevent demolition.
