Tensions escalated in occupied Jerusalem on Tuesday evening, with settlers organising provocative marches and Talmudic rituals in the Old City.
Dozens of occupation soldiers spread out from the town's alleys to protect a settlers' march near the gates of Hatta, Al-Qattanin, Al-Majlis, Al-Asbat and King Faisal.
The settlers performed Talmudic rituals, including dancing and prostration, near the gates of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the occupation forces.
The occupation forces attacked the residents in Bab Hatta in the Old City, where fistfights broke out during which the young Jerusalemite Bashar Al-Ajlouni was arrested.
This coincided with the occupation forces storming the Wadi al-Rababa neighbourhood in the town of Silwan, south of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and arresting the two brothers, Khalil and Samer Shuwaiki.
A special force from the occupation army also stormed the town of Al-Ram, north of Jerusalem, and arrested a Palestinian youth.
This morning, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque was subjected to a blatant attack, when the so-called extremist Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, stormed the mosque courtyards.
Several hours later, the occupation forces stormed the Dome of the Rock prayer hall in Al-Aqsa Mosque and conducted searches there.
The Palestinian resistance factions stressed that Ben Gvir's storming of Al-Aqsa is a cowardly attempt that represents a dangerous escalation and provocation of the feelings of our Palestinian people and the Arab and Islamic nation, and portends a religious war in the region.
The resistance factions held the occupation fully responsible for the repercussions of its insistence on aggression against our people and Islamic and Christian sanctities, especially the infiltration of the extremist criminal Ben Gvir into Al-Aqsa Mosque.
She called on our people in Jerusalem, the West Bank and the occupied interior to head to Al-Aqsa Mosque and intensify their presence there to thwart the Zionist Talmudic plans.
