Jerusalemite circles and leaders have warned of the danger of summer camps organized by the occupation authorities in Jerusalem under several names, targeting Jerusalemite students and children.

The media spokesman for the Jerusalem Teachers Union, Ahmed Al-Safadi, said that the occupation targets Palestinian education and seeks to raise awareness among the people of Jerusalem.

Al-Safadi warned of the occupation’s plans that aim to Israeliize Palestinian education in the Holy City, calling for action to confront these plans and thwart the occupation’s efforts to target the emerging generation of Jerusalemites.

In turn, Najwa Qaraqish, a specialist in Jerusalem studies, explained that the occupation is trying to attract the children of Silwan and Ras al-Amud to free summer camps.

Qaraqish pointed out that these camps have malicious goals by disrupting the thinking of the emerging Jerusalemite generation and passing Judaizing ideas into their minds.

She stressed the need to support parents of Jerusalemite students in finding national alternatives to these Judaization summer camps.

The preacher at Al-Aqsa Mosque had warned of what is called a multicultural program funded by Western countries, targeting Jerusalemite students through dangerous programs that harm the Islamic religion and the culture of the Palestinian people.

Sabri called on parents in Jerusalem to assume their responsibilities towards their children and not allow the occupation to infiltrate their minds.
