This morning, Tuesday, Israeli occupation bulldozers began demolishing the house of Jerusalemite citizen Younis Ahmed Awda in Al-Bustan neighborhood in Silwan town, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Jerusalem News correspondent reported that the occupation forces surrounded the house of the Jerusalemite Awda and forced the family to leave the house to begin demolishing it.
Jerusalemite Younis Awda had emptied the contents of his house, early this month, after the occupation municipality had given him a final notice to demolish the house.
Awda's house has been in use since 2006 and houses 10 people, including children.
The occupation municipality is carrying out the demolition under the cover of the “Kaminitz” Law issued in 2007, which prevents Jerusalemites from objecting to or postponing demolition decisions.
More than 100 homes in the Al-Bustan neighborhood are at risk of demolition for the biblical “King’s Garden” settlement project.
