The attacks of the Israeli occupation army and settlers in the city of Jerusalem have escalated in an unprecedented manner over the past year, as part of the war of extermination that the occupation is waging against the Palestinians in all places where they are present.

The Palestine Information Center “Ma’ti” documented the harvest of crimes committed by the occupation and settlers in Jerusalem during the past year, noting that 6,828 violations by the occupation and settlers occurred in the holy city.

The center reported that the crimes of the occupation and settlers in Jerusalem resulted in 47 martyrs and 274 wounded, in addition to the arrest of about 1,375 Jerusalemites, and the installation of 2,889 military checkpoints to obstruct the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa, and facilitate settlers’ incursions.

He pointed out that 595 raids were carried out, in addition to the destruction of 179 Palestinian properties, while the occupation forces deported 42 Jerusalemites from the city and Al-Aqsa.

Moati stated that the attacks related to Al-Aqsa Mosque amounted to 300 violations, in addition to 402 shootings carried out by occupation soldiers, and 256 house raids.

The occupation forces imposed closures in the city of Jerusalem about 42 times during the entire year, while detaining 47 Palestinians and demolishing 111 homes.

Settler attacks in Jerusalem reached 101 attacks, coinciding with the occupation's suppression campaigns against demonstrations, which reached 82 cases.

The occupation forces carried out 35 confiscations in Jerusalem during the year, disrupted education 8 times, committed violations against medical staff 4 times, and against journalists 12 times.
