The preacher of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri, called for the protection of prisoners and prisoners from the attacks and injustice of the Israeli occupation.

Sheikh Sabri said: “Institutions that claim to protect human rights must open their eyes and stop this injustice,” stressing that “assaulting prisoners in occupation prisons is the height of injustice and a violation of all human laws and norms.”

He continued, saying: “The policy of collective punishment is not new to our Palestinian people, and the escalation of this policy is clear evidence of the occupation’s hatred,” stressing that the continuation of the occupation’s crimes against innocent people shows its disregard for all the laws of the international community.

It is noteworthy that the prisoners began yesterday to carry out disobedience steps in response to the occupation authorities’ announcement of their intention to implement the measures of the extremist Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.

The Supreme National Emergency Committee for the Prisoner Movement confirmed in a statement that whoever decides to fight the prisoners with a loaf of bread and water will respond with a battle for freedom or martyrdom.

The prisoners of “Nafha” prison began the first protest steps, according to the plan approved by the Supreme Emergency Committee, which consisted of closing sections, disrupting aspects of life, and not going out for security checks.

Ben Gvir recently decided to set a time for showering and reduce the amount of water for prisoners in Nafha and Gilboa prisons, while the Supreme Emergency Committee for the prisoner movement announced a series of steps that begin with disobedience and end with an open hunger strike.
