An Israeli soldier was killed, Monday evening, during a stabbing attack carried out by a Palestinian, at the Shuafat refugee camp checkpoint in Jerusalem, before he was shot by occupation soldiers.
The stabbing occurred at the Shuafat checkpoint, followed by gunfire from the occupation forces, which led to the soldier being injured by friendly fire while targeting the crossing point. His death was announced a short time later.
Earlier, the occupation media reported that the soldier’s injury at the Shuafat checkpoint in Jerusalem was very serious, while the Israeli occupation forces closed the Shuafat military checkpoint, amid intense reinforcements following the operation.
She explained that during a search of one of the buses, two border guards boarded the search, and a Palestinian boy stabbed one of the soldiers.
While other media outlets indicated that “the perpetrator of the stabbing attack at the Shuafat checkpoint in Jerusalem is a 14-year-old Palestinian boy from Shuafat, born in 2009.”
This is the second operation during the evening hours, as it was preceded by a stabbing attack at Bab al-Silsilah in the Holy City, which resulted in a settler sustaining injuries described as minor.
